How to Measure
A perfect fit begins with precise measurements. Take 15 quiet minutes, follow the steps below, and our atelier will craft your gown to your exact dimensions.
The Essential Measurements
Height
Stand straight against a wall, barefoot, with your chin level. Measure from the top of your head to the floor.
Full Bust
Wear your best-fitting, non-padded bra. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it parallel to the floor. Breathe naturally — don't hold your breath.
Under Bust
Measure directly beneath your bust, where your bra band sits, keeping the tape snug but not tight.
Natural Waist
Bend gently to one side — the crease that forms is your natural waist. Measure the smallest part of your torso, usually about 2–3 cm above your navel.
Hips
Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, usually 18–20 cm below your waist, keeping the tape level.
Shoulder Width
Measure across the back, from the outer edge of one shoulder bone to the other, following the natural curve of your shoulders.
Hollow to Floor
Measure from the hollow at the base of your neck (between your collarbones) straight down to the floor, barefoot. Keep the tape straight, not along your body's curves.
Heel Height
If you will wear heels on your wedding day, measure the height of your shoes. We will add the perfect amount of length so your gown falls exactly as intended.
Sleeve Length (if applicable)
For gowns with sleeves: measure from the shoulder bone, over a slightly bent elbow, down to the wrist bone.
Our Tips for a Flawless Fit
- Ask someone to help you — self-measuring distorts posture and results.
- Use a soft measuring tape (dressmaker's tape), never a metal one.
- Measure over light clothing or underwear, not thick garments.
- The tape should be snug against your body, but never compressing it.
- Round each measurement to the nearest 0.5 cm / 0.5 inch.
- Take each measurement twice to confirm consistency.
